All the meetings and receptions will be held at the Baton Rouge Capitol Hilton, 2001 Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Advance Registration Room Rate is $129.00. Please do not delay in making your reservations. The registration deadline is September 12. Once the deadline has passed, the hotel may charge you a non-conference registration fee.

Please check www.mapquest.com for directions from your home to the hotel.

Parking Information

  • Valet parking at the Hilton has been reduced to $10.00 a day for LCA
  • LCA leadership is negotiating with the other parking lots. 
  • Remember that on Saturday and Sunday the parking meters are free.

For an additional registration fee of $100.00.  (These fees will be used for an honorarium for the trainers.)

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

  • Robert Emmons, Ph.D. has made a science out of Thanksgiving. On Monday October 13, 2008 the keynote speaker will be Dr. Robert Emmons.  He will introduce the LCA theme: The Power of Gratitude to Heal, to Energize, to Change Our Lives at the Monday General Session.   • Barry L. Duncan, Psy.D., is a therapist, trainer, and researcher with over 17,000 hours of clinical experience. He is co Director of the Institute for the Study of Therapeutic Change (ISTC) and practices in Boca Raton, Florida. Dr. Duncan will speak on  “The Heroic Client: Becoming Client Directed and Outcome Informed” at the Tuesday General Session followed by a three hour general content session. His topic will address issues important to all mental health professionals.
