The 2010 LCA Conference will be held September 19-22. 2010 at the New Orleans InterContental with pre-conference workshops available Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18, 2010.
The theme of LCA’s 2010 annual state conference is WE ARE FAMILY. This phrase has meaning on many levels. Each counselor who is a member of LCA is also a member of one or more families and interacts as a son/daughter, mother/father, sister/brother, etc. LCA also has a division whose primary purpose is to serve the needs of those counselors who practice marriage and family counseling, LAMFC. On the organizational level, each division of LCA is a member of the LCA family and interacts with the other members of the family of LCA. Ultimately, we are all members of the human family and serve our clients who are also members of various families. The conference keynote speakers will address the term “family” on all of these levels.
