As the breadth of knowledge within the field of trauma treatment continues to expand, practitioners are challenged with staying abreast and integrating the latest in best practices and evidence-based programs related to trauma treatment. Many clinicians and advocates struggle with how to incorporate this information to help adults and children move beyond trauma-- How do I effectively incorporate information about trauma and neurobiology into a session? What are some appropriate therapeutic strategies that work with survivors of interpersonal trauma? --and regain a sense of safety and personal control over one's life. The Regional Trauma Institute will emphasize how professionals can empower families to move past survival mode and learn to embrace life again.
The Haven's Regional Trauma Training Institute will be held August 17, 2017 at the Duhe' Center in Houma (235 Civic Center Blvd.). The cost of the all day training is $65.00.
