As clinicians, we often provide services to a diverse array of selected populations. In today’s times, we live in a multicultural and diverse society requiring an understanding of the cultural context of relationships, issues, and trends in working with different cultures. This presentation will discuss how clinicians can embody a personal awareness that can aid in adding skills to their therapeutic toolboxes. By gaining a heightened personal awareness to diversity, clinicians can possibly enhance their effectiveness in working with individuals of selected populations.
