9:00 AM - 12:15 PM

Motivational Interviewing is used in clinical practice to address ambivalence about specific behavioral changes and strengthen commitment to making the targeted change.  This approach can also apply to the supervisory relationship.  Using a person-centered approach to work with ambivalence in our supervisees can mirror the four phases reported by Miller and Rollnick in the 3rd edition of Motivational Interviewing: Helping People Change.  This workshop will include analysis of a sample script  and live demonstration.

This workshop will award 3.0 CE clock hours in Supervision for LPCs.  No NBCC credits available through LCA.
