 Program Description:

With multiple innovative modifications to the EMDR standard protocol available to apply with special populations, selecting specific techniques to use in work with Complex Trauma in Children and Adolescents can be daunting, especially when working with limited time and resources.  This workshop will focus on quality rather than quantity, in presenting selected basic, yet approachable and effective, child-friendly adaptations to EMDR’s 8 phases of treatment.  Information will be provided to show how they can be effectively applied with the challenges in community agency settings as well as private practice.  Adaptations in the application of the 8 phases to meet cultural needs will also be addressed.  Participants will engage in practicum exercises to apply some of the modified techniques introduced.
