Critical Time Intervention Training

This training will provide an overview of Critical Time Intervention (CTI) a time-limited evidence-based practice that mobilizes support for society’s most vulnerable individuals during periods of transition.

At the conclusion of this educational program, learners will be able to:

  1. describe the CTI model and the Phases of the practice;
  2. identify opportunities and challenges associated with transitions into housing;
  3. identify CTI assessment and planning domains;
  4. identify effective strategies to help homeless people develop plans to access and maintain homes;
  5. describe the importance of helping program participants to connect to community-based resources and supports, develop meaningful ways to spend their time and to establish life roles they value; and
  6. recognize risks to housing stability and describe strategies to intervene to support housing access and prevent housing loss.

This workshop has been approved for 10.75 CE clock hours for counselors; the workshop was not approved for NBCC credits through LCA.
