Yoga-based techniques for Anxiety, Depression, and Mood disorders

Research shows that yoga-based practices are effective and appropriate in a clinical setting.
Many therapists find yoga to be wonderful adjunct treatment to medication and can provide their clients with tools for internal mood-regulation and self-care.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES-In this workshop, each participant will:
9:00 - 10:30: How yoga can help maintain physical, mental and emotional well-being
10:30am – 10:45am: Morning Break
10:45 – 11:45: Stretches that can be practiced in a chair and at the desk
11:45 – 12:45pm: Lunch Break
12:45 – 2:15: Proper breathing instruction and exercises
2:15 – 2:30 Afternoon Break
2:30 - 3:15 How to guide patients to use their breath and visualizations to
manage mood
3:15- 4:00 Writing down short term health goals for patients and therapists
4:00 Evaluations/Adjournment
