7/30/19 Overview of the training:
This seminar will focus on identifying, assessing and resolving crisis, including as it pertains to high risk groups like adolescents and young adults. Due to social workers' frequent encounters with clients in crisis, this seminar will assist in how to purposefully assist clients resolving the crisis in a safe and healthy way. During the seminar, participants will go over clinical skills needed to sufficiently address crisis, such as active listening and nonviolent communication skills.

2:30pm-1:30pm Participants will learn how to identify symptoms of ciris
1:30pm-1:45pm Break
1:45pm-2:45pm Participants will learn how to assess degree of crisis and will discuss and identify clinical skills required to identify, assess, and resolve crisis.
2:45pm-3:00pm Break
3:00pm-4:00pm Participants will learn how to create finite plans with persons in crisis to assist in crisis resolution.
