Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Borderline Personality Disorder

2/7/2020 - 2/7/2020
1:00 PM - 4:15 PM
Location: Women’s Center for Healing and Transformation,71667 Leveson Street, Abita Springs

For years, mental health professionals and the general public have stigmatized borderline personality disorder. This stigma causes additional shame for the suffering individual making it more difficult to reach out for help. When they do seek help, they are often refused services.

Possibly you, or other professionals you’ve encountered, have made statements like:
“I don’t work with borderlines”
“ I screen heavily for borderlines”
“They are highly manipulative”
“They can’t be helped”
“They like drama”

Join us on February 7 to learn the truth about borderline personality disorder and about things you can indeed do to help this highly emotional population. There is hope and even recovery when professionals care enough to educate themselves and learn helpful techniques. You won’t leave this workshop a qualified DBT therapist, but you will achieve new insight and hopefully desire to learn more.
