This workshop is an interactive experience, the purpose of which is to increase self-awareness of and responses to ethical dilemmas in the counseling setting.  Specific subsections will include professional counseling codes of ethics, the underlying foundations for ethical decision-making; notable models for ethical decision making, with emphasis on the ACA ethical decision making model; counselor non-moral values and prejudices, and the inter-relatedness of ethical decision-making and counselor multicultural competence.

This workshop has been approved for 6.0 CE clock hours in Ethics.  It was not reviewed for NBCC credits.

In response to the COVID 19 crisis, the CLI ETHICS workshop scheduled for April has been rescheduled and will be presented on a modified platform.

  • The six-hour workshop will be video recorded in its entirety; registered participants will be sent link to access at a time which meets their schedule. All original workshop material will be included; segments planned for group interaction will be modified.
  • Those registered will receive instructions to access the workshop online by June 5, 2020.  Workshop must be completed, and short quiz submitted by June 19, 2020.
  • Upon receipt of the quiz, a certificate will be sent to the participant noting the six clock hours in ethics earned.
  • Those who wish to register, are asked to use contact information at the bottom of this message to request registration materials.
  • Registration for the six-hour workshop must be received by May 29, 2020.
