Providing counseling and mental health services online has become a common practice over the last decade. But with all new things come lots of questions. Is it legal to practice telemental health? What does the board say about working with client’s online? How do I even provide therapy online? Through this CEU training, we will investigate the history and research behind telemental health, examine the legal and ethical issues that exist with online therapy, and explore the clinical concerns and applications for providing online therapy.
The presenter is Ashley Comegys, LCSW . She is also certified as an Advanced TBHI Certified Telebehavioral Health Professional.
This workshop has been approved for 3.0 including 1.5 CE clock hours in ethics. This workshop may also be used to satisfy the 3.0 CE clock hours requirement for the renewal of the authorization to provide TeleMental Heath services. this workshop was not reviewed for NBCC credits.
