Do I Really Have to Go Back to School? I’ve Really Gotten Used to Being at Home – Facilitating the Use of Filial and Play Therapy Concepts for Parents, Teachers, and Play Therapists

Children have become accustomed to being at home recently due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will have challenges separating from their secure, “safe”, germ free environments when they begin going back to school. Participants will review facilitative filial and play therapy skills which can promote better adjustments. Objectives: 1. Participants will review presenting issues of anxious children returning to school post COVID-19 school shut down related to play therapy assessment and decision-making models. 2. Participants will identify play therapy applications to use for anxious children. 3. Participants will discuss play therapy approaches used to support anxious children.

This workshop will award 2.0 in Diagnosis.
