Mental health and physical health are intertwined with one another. Mental health and physical health are both equally important for individuals who are seeking stability. Somatic Symptom Disorder can severely disrupt an individual’s life from functioning an appropriate baseline in finding fulfillment. Individuals with somatic symptom disorder can struggle to identify realistic long-term goals and realistic short-term objectives with their physical health and mental health. A clinician with an individualized appropriate strategy for a client with somatic symptom disorder can help a client to return to an appropriate baseline of functioning in their daily life.

In this CEU the participants will gain knowledge in the diagnostic criteria of somatic symptom disorder. The participants will learn the strategies for the treatment of somatic symptom disorder. The participants will learn collaborative strategies essential for the treatment of somatic symptom disorder.
