Implementing Preschool and Youth PTSD Treatment (PPT/YPT) by Telehealth Platforms

Louisiana Medicaid agencies with Multisystemic Therapy (MST) teams are invited to this online training on implementing MST via telehealth platforms. Practitioners, supervisors, and administrators of MST teams are invited to attend.

This opportunity is sponsored by the Center for Evidence to Practice, and facilitated by Kirby Johnson and Christine Bonura. Kirby Johnson, LPC has been a therapist and supervisor in MST for the past 4 years and works for The Center for Children and Families in Monroe and Shreveport. Christine Bonura, LMSW is the Program Director for Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority, MST Network Partner. She has been integral in expanding MST to every parish in Louisiana and getting MST covered as a Medicaid funded service.

Participants for this training series are already trained and/or certified in MST. Traditional MST training does not include implementation over telehealth platforms. This series will build off their existing MST skills and guide them on how to successfully adjust to an online setting.

1. Practitioners who are trained and/or certified in MST will learn how to implement the therapy over a telehealth platform from Louisiana MST experts.
2. Participants will learn how to maintain fidelity of the MST model while implementing over the phone or video.
