Counseling in the Global Pandemic: What Every Counselor Should Know

This synchronous workshop is designed for social workers, school counselors, LPC Supervisors, teachers, administrators, counselors, social workers, clinical mental health counselors and other mental health professionals to learn how to recognize, diagnose, and treat mental health issues connected with COVID – 19. They will learn how to conduct useful yet straightforward diagnostic tools for the signs and symptoms of burnout and compassion fatigue. They will recognize the most common symptoms, such as anxiety and depression in their population. Included with the presentation is a portal for supervisors, clinicians, marriage and family therapists, social workers and others to access tools such as  self-tests, PowerPoint information, and handouts for later use. This course provides expanded opportunities for professionals to understand a full range of services available for themselves, the population they serve, and families.
