This webinar is designed for social workers, therapists, school counselors, and mental health counselors to gain knowledge and understanding of Human Trafficking. Human Trafficking is the fastest growing criminal industry in the world. Understanding how to recognize and protect those who are vulnerable and how to respond to the safety of our community is essential in arresting and deterring trafficking. Acknowledging key indicators of human trafficking is the first step and can save lives. Comprehending the manipulation, fraud, force and coercion is key to providing the best treatment for those exploited. During this webinar, we will define human trafficking, discover methods used to recruit others, review prevention strategies, and examine methods of support. Through documented evidence, experimental exercises, and case studies, we will highlight best practices for clinicians. A greater understanding of the magnitude of the problem will help to raise awareness of this critical crisis.
