Ethics During Crisis: The Changing Face of Clinical Practice

The face of therapy has changed in the wake of the coronavirus and the crises of 2020. Ethic issues abound and clinicians are faced with new and daunting practice considerations. Participants in this workshop will learn strategies for managing boundaries and ethical considerations in their practice related to tele-health including technical issues, personal space and safety and confidentiality issues. Participants will engage in discussion of ethical dilemmas surrounding counter-transference, lethality/safety assessments, and self-disclosure specific to shared crisis as well as engage in case study to apply concepts to clinical practice.
