Trauma Stewardship

1/22/2021 - 1/22/2021
9:00 AM - 12:15 PM
Location: WEBINAR, Webinar

Sponsored by the Broadmoor Improvement Center

For those of us who encounter trauma regularly, our trauma responses can become hyper-active and hyper-accessible, leading to high levels of secondary traumatic stress and ultimately, burnout. If you're noticing that your sleep is troubled, your relationships are in tatters and you can't remember the last time you ate, this could be a result of the way you're carrying your trauma load in this moment of multiple pandemics.

In this session, participants will learn to recognize the signs of secondary traumatic stress in themselves and in their organizations. Participants will also have the opportunity to design a trauma stewardship plan for themselves, including what to do when they expect to encounter triggering events, what to do when triggered and how to seek care afterwards.
