Trauma & the Brain: Understanding Effects of Trauma

This is a live face-to-face event 

This session focuses on brain development in the early years of a child’s life, how traumatic stressors and environments impact that development, and signs to look for in those individuals who have experienced traumatic stressors (a traumatic experience). We will also provide a hands-on learning experience of how stress affects the child’s brain, make sense of behaviors that are seen as a result of those stressors, and how professionals can help support youth that have been affected by trauma.
