“Case Consultation: Working with Challenging Couples

Presenter: Casey Gonzales, LPC

Lauren Farrell, LPC, LMFT

Learning objectives:

1) To provide feedback by members on how to navigate sessions with a couple when the husband presents as highly narcissistic and the wife reports  continuous trauma-related experiences by his overbearing personality and cruel words.
2) To provide feedback to help therapist conduct the sessions in more productive ways while clinically working with his personality type as it relates to therapist's concerns for countertransference during sessions.

This session is approved for 2.0 CE clock hours for professional counselors.

The Louisiana Counseling Association has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP #2019.  Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified.  LCA is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.
