We will focus on providing psycho-education on gender, sex, and sexuality. Participants will learn vocabulary, practice, identify and address patterns they may need to unlearn, and begin building a more inclusive provider referral list. During this conversation, we will examine our own biases around gender, sex and sexuality and learn how this can impact internalized homophobia. We will also discuss ways to be a more inclusive counselor, by making quick yet intentional changes to your websites, paperwork and other professional information and techniques to use to ensure clients feel welcomed.
