The Psychology and Aging Resource Collaborative (PARC) hosts an annual conference for mental health/healthcare/social worker professionals.  PARC is the outgrowth of the University of Monroe Pfizer & B.J. Robison Endowed Professorship of Gerontology.  Distinguished speakers receive an invitation based on experience, demonstrated skill in presentations and their intellectual contributions to the discipline of mental health.  presentations include the phenomenon of grandparents' social dilemmas, law enforcement interaction with the elderly, opioid addiction and the elderly, as well as prescription abuse and recreational drug use among the elderly.  Training in ethics across the disciplines in the practice of mental health interventions and treatment.

This workshop is approved for  6.0 CE clock hours including 1.0 clock hour in ethics.   NBCC credit is not available for this program.
