Metairie LPC Monthly Networking Luncheon

 THE LINK INVITE WILL ONLY BE SENT ON SUNDAY, April 19, 2021 TO THOSE WHO FULLY REGISTERED AS INSTRUCTED BELOW.

Registration is necessary in order to comply with c.e. requirements. If you want to earn the time/certificate, then please timely reply to this email with the following information to register for our virtual networking:

1. Your name with credential(s) (as registered with the LPC Board of Examiners or your licensing board), and

2. Your email address (as registered).

 

This information is required to record your official registration for NBCC. Registration closes at NOON (the day before networking meeting). The ACTUAL virtual link will be sent (by 11:30 A.M. on the MORNING OF the meeting. DO NOT SHARE THE LINK TO THE NETWORKING PRESENTAITON DUE TO THE NBCC REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS NOTED ABOVE.

 Technology requirements. You will need a laptop, cell or electronic tablet with audio and video capability. You are also strongly encouraged to have a headset with microphone (to limit echo and feedback noise). Most importantly, all registered participants are legally responsible for assuring confidentiality of our conversation (i.e., no one can see and hear you in your location).

 

C.E. information. Following each virtual meeting, you will each receive an email from PandaDoc requesting that you electronically sign next to your registration information, thus affirming your registration and full 2-hours of attendance/participation. It will be returned to Susan Harrington. Upon receipt of ALL registered participants’ signatures, she will forward the final document to Lauren Farrell, who will then submit attendance to LCA as her normal process to acquire c.e. certificates. (The PandaDoc system will resend the completed document to you. Nothing is required of you.)

Each participant who has successfully signed the registration form as described above will receive their certificate of attendance directly from LCA/Diane Austin via the email you provided at registration.

 

Active LCA members receive this benefit at no cost. If you are not an LCA member, you may still acquire the c.e. certificate by joining LCA (https://www.lacounseling.org/lca/Membership.asp) or you by sending the LCA Executive Director payment for each networking event you attend. Learning objectives participants will be able to

For Topic #1:

1. plan for closing a practice in order to heave a workable timeline,

2. identify possible expenses, and

3. identify possible resources for handling files, insurances, and clients; and

For Topic #2:

4. discuss case involving connections to a friend,

5. discuss case involving prior knowledge of client,

6. discuss case involving prior knowledge of a relative,

7. discuss client case who is the grandchild of a therapist I (presenter) knows, and

8. discuss case where client is friends of my (presenter) daughter.

 The Louisiana Counseling Association has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP #2019.  Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified.  LCA is solely responsible for all aspects of the program
