The Louisiana PMP well has been in existence since 2009 and there are healthcare providers who are unaware of the program as well as state law regarding PMP mandatory use.
The PMP is one of the most vital tools used to address the opioid epidemic. All healthcare providers with controlled substance prescriptive authority should be aware of and using the PMP, especially as required by state law. The presentation will provide an overview of the PMP and include a review of the state PMP mandatory use law to enhance knowledge and awareness.
