Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) is a new evidence-based treatment for childhood anxiety disorders. It involves parenting skills aimed at increasing support and decreasing accommodation

This workshop will instruct therapists how to implement a new evidence-based treatment for children with various anxiety disorders. The treatment (i.e., SPACE) proposes an alternative model for understanding childhood anxiety and works exclusively with parents and caregivers to treat anxiety in a child. Studies have shown SPACE to be as effective at treating childhood anxiety as cognitive behavioral therapy.

The presenter is Dr.

Mark Schexnaildre

The workshop is approved for 3.0 CE clock hours in Diagnosis; NBCC credit is not available for this workshop
