Harm reduction when starting MAT is an important concept for providers. Concept of “meeting a patient they’re at” while minimizing potential harm will be discussed.

Introduction to providing MAT and the harm reduction model is key to anyone considering offering MAT in their practice. Providers comfort level inducing outpatient buprenorphine as well as patient safety concerns will be addressed.
