Today more than any other time in our lifetimes, people are questioning their way of life.  Beliefs, historical theories, political views, values, and traditions are not just all on the line but the chopping block as well.    Whether it was the experience of going through adolescence to becoming an adult, or getting older only to find your old belief system doesn't quite fight your new reality, to hearing kids talk to adults differently from the way you were raised to even the idea that the friends, food and places you once enjoyed, don't bring you the same since of satisfaction anymore.  Although known and seen, many struggle with the idea and concept of change.  During this session we will discuss normal, change, transition, and the stumbling blocks holding us back.  Learners will gain skills to not only be comfortable with being uncomfortable but how to be fluid in change; all while creating a ripple effect.

The speaker has indicated that the Practice-Based problem (gap) is: Improved approach to necessary adjustments during seasons of transition and change.  And the speaker indicated the reason for the gap is: Strategies and methods are needed to address the difficulties to making necessary adjustments in dealing with the human resistance to change.

The speaker indicated that the changes in learners intend to make to strategies, performance, and/or patient care: I will use evidence-based teaching and checklist to discuss resistance to change and methods to create environments of continued and sustainable growth.  As a result, learners will have a renewed since of direction and motivation, equipped with strategies, teaching points and techniques to use in their lives and with their patients.
