In this workshop, we will explore the basic tenets of Stephen Porges' polyvagal theory and its implications for depression, anxiety, and trauma work. This workshop will include an experiential class, wherein we will use yoga to harness the power of the body to soothe the mind. Participants will gain a basic understanding of how bottom-up processing can release trauma and stress stored within the body.
Participants will need to dress comfortably, bring a yoga mat (or can borrow one from the studio), and a bottle of water.
