Learn more about anxiety in children and how it affects behavior.  This workshop will help parents, providers, and educators to look at behavior management for children through the lens of anxiety. 

Children and tends struggling with anxiety may report different triggers or display varied behaviors related to their anxiety. No two individuals are going to experience or express their anxiety in the same way. There is consistency, however, in what is believed to be most successful in helping children with anxiety. Equipping children and their caregivers with tools to manage their beliefs, feelings and behaviors related to anxiety has proven to be successful across domains. This training will focus on specific tools and strategies to promote self-regulation and enhance felt safety in order to manage anxiety. 

In addition attendees will learn about the following topics:  identification of anxiety in children, behavior management and stress reducing techniques, medication, and accommodations. 

Approved for 5.0 CE clock hours in Diagnosis; no NBCC credit available for this program.
