Conflict happens, so learn to navigate it well.  By excavating what's beneath any friction, you can focus on the deeper motivation and change the conversation to one of understanding.  Non-Violent Communication (NVC) helps you to compassionately understand your habitual behavior and to translate your judgments.

Guided by NYCNVC facilitator Cat McCarthy, this workshop introduces the key concepts of NVC (Compassionate Communication) as a foundation upon which to build a practice.  You will acquire tools of emotional intelligence to help generate new neural pathways for empathy. This workshop will help clinicians improve their therapeutic skills and connections as well as learn essential tools for self care.

With a relationship to your own feelings and needs, you can create stronger connection both inside and out.  There will be a mix of playful exercises and discussion, so please bring a journal, an open heart, and a curious mind.  Get ready to be surprised!
