This workshop will guide you in how to prepare for, identify and work with clients experiencing hurricane trauma.

The learning objectives for this workshop are

1.         Identify the differences between clinical diagnosis of acute stress response and post-traumatic stress response

2.         Describe three strategies to help you prepare for working with clients who have experienced trauma related to a hurricane

3.         Identify unique triggers associated with hurricane trauma reactions

4.         Identify three clinical tools/modalities/techniques to use to treat trauma

5.         Describe tools to help support you as a clinician in caring for yourself while treating hurricane trauma
