A Nature-Based CEU Retreat for master's level professionals located at Chicot State Park.Takes place inside one of the park's event facilities with windows that view the natural environment. Located just steps away from the park lake. Learn about somatic approaches to psychotherapy through a combination of traditional learning (lecture) and somatic experiential (body-based, hands on) learning.
Schedule of training:
10:00-10:30 AM: Opening Circle
10:30-12:00 Intro to Somatic Ecotherapy by Kathryn Dietzway (1.5 CEUs)
12:00-12:45 LUNCH (Including) Those with food allergies must inform Kathryn at least one week ahead of time. Email: kathryn@yourtherapygarden.com
1:00-2:00 Forest-based Meditation-Shinrin-Yoku: Learn about the Japanese practice of Forest Bathing through hands on practice! Takes place in the surrounding forest. Focused on somatic connection, empowering relationship with forest, empowering connecting with the Earth, soil, ancestors, etc (1 CEU)
2:15-3:45:An Introduction to a Neurobiological Approach to Therapy: Grace Bailey (1.5 CEUs)
3:45-4:00: Afternoon break, transition to yoga
4:00-5:00: Polyvagal Theory & Trauma-Informed Yoga: Grace Bailey (.5 CEUs)
5:00-5:30: Closing Circle and End of Retreat.

Group Camp Add On: $40 (Indoor Group Camp facility with dorm style sleeping arrangements. Private dorms separated by gender. BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS/LINENS.)
Please note that this is a state park. The lodging accommodations reflect a state park ambiance. If you prefer private accommodations there are cabins available on a first come, first serve basis. Must contact the park direct for cabins and lodges.
