This presentation by Emmy Award-winning journalist Allison Gilbert, author of the book Passed and Present, will help therapists support their clients in several ways across the lifespan. Firstly, it can deepen their understanding of the grieving process and how individuals may express their grief. Secondly, it can help therapists develop strategies needed to support their clients who wish to take a more active approach to coping with grief and assist them with keeping memories alive. Whether working with children or adults, Allison Gilbert presents creative and meaningful ways for clients to cope with grief. Finally, this presentation may also provide therapists with an opportunity to reflect on their own experiences with grief and loss, which can help them to empathize with and better support their clients navigating the same.
