Jeffery Bratberg, PharmD, FAPhA, will be presenting “Pharmacy Based Buprenorphine Access: Improving Equitable Care” on March 22nd , 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. This is a free virtual event. Please visit www.womansfoundation.com/cos to register.

Most patients who would benefit from buprenorphine therapy are unable to access it. Lack of providers, stigma, discrimination, financial barriers, geography (e.g. rural), and other social/structural determinants of health are the reasons for this practice gap. The goal of this educational event is to decrease stigma of buprenorphine prescribing and increase use by patients; increase pharmacy stocking and provision of care (from increased demand, partially), and explore novel ways to collaborate with pharmacists to reach underserved populations with opioid use disorder.
