This seminar has 3 sessions entitled: 1. Introduction to Trauma Informed Care; 2.Introduction to Trauma Informed Education; and 3.Social Work and Prevention: The Heart of Meaningful Change in Saving Lives. This is an opportunity to earn 6 clock hours. Professionals will be equipped with knowledge and skills to assist trauma patients and counselors (who work with them) with ability to understand trauma, the impact of trauma, and how it affects the child's ability to perform in school. The last session will explore preventative strategies important to assessment, intervention planning and ethical considerations for the client.
This workshop has been approved for 6.0 CE credits in Diagnosis; no NBCC credits are available through LCA.
