Participants will receive information on Play Therapy and its basic tenets, core benefits of using play in a counseling setting, Therapeutic Powers of Play, and how they support treatment goals, understand the directive and non-directive play therapy approaches, and describe when each may be clinically appropriate, ethical and cultural considerations in the use of play therapy, and the role of play therapy in supporting emotional and behavioral development in children.
