Title: Safe, Secure, and Supportive: Ethical Considerations in Using Telehealth

Description: Being trained in teletherapy enables professional counselors to offer an alternative way to conduct therapy; one in which there is flexibility for both therapists and clients who cannot or prefer not to come into a physical office. During this one hour session, best practices and ethical considerations for conducting teletherapy will be discussed.

Objectives:

Participants will be able to list best practices for distance counseling.
Participants will be able to recognize the Louisianan LPC Board guidelines for providing distance counseling.
Participants will be able to outline how to manage emergencies when conducting distance counseling
