National EMS Academy  maintains six campuses in Louisiana. Depending on the facility, EMT and paramedic training is available for individuals interested in beginning a career in EMS. Regularly scheduled refresher courses and other continuing education opportunities are also available.  With grant finding from the Department of Labor and the Department of Economic Development, the National EMS Academy was established in 2003 to meet the demands of a nationwide paramedic shortage.  The Academy is an educational partnership between Acadian Ambulance Service, South Louisiana Community College and Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service with the primary objective of providing the education and training necessary for individuals seeking to enter the emergency medical services industry



Physicians Behavioral Hospital is a 24 bed behavioral health unit that offers both psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment in addition to extensive outpatient services through our Partial Hospitalization Program and Intensive Outpatient Program. As a pillar of our community treating psychiatric concerns since 2008, we have successfully treated and transitioned over 1500 patients back into the community. Palmetto  Addiction Recovery Center  is a residential treatment center for males and females located in Rayville, Louisiana.  Palmetto provides treatment for drugs and alcohol and co-occurring disorders.  Palmetto is privately owned and operated and is in the network with many insurance companies.

 Magellan of Louisiana  works with children enrolled in CSoC.  The Coordinated System of Care (CSoC) helps children and youth ages 5-20, who have serious mental health and substance use challenges and are in or at-risk of out-of-home placement. It also helps their families. It offers services and supports that help these youth return to or remain at home while they are being helped.
