Appointments are for one year and will begin on July 1. Membership in LCA is required.

As a non-profit organization, LCA depends on the commitment of its members to keep our association strong. The work of each committee is developed each year by the committee.    

Committee Descriptions

Archives: keeps a record of the history of the association

review nominations and select recipients for LCA’s Professional Awards and provide nominations for ACA

By-laws: ensure that the by-laws and governance manual reflect the policies established by the LCA Executive Board and are in compliance with ACA

Membership: recruits new members and encourages the renewal of memberships in the association. Recruits Organizational Membership.

Professional Development: provides continuing education opportunities for the membership

Public Relations: work to provide positive information to the public about the counselors in Louisiana
