Dr. Fonseca is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana, a board approved LPC supervisor in Louisiana. a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a National Certified Counselor. He has a private practice in the New Orleans area.

The course will award 6.0 CE clock hours in Diagnosis.
Trauma and stressor-related disorders include disorders in which exposure to a traumatic or stressful event is listed explicitly as a diagnostic criteria. These include reactive attachment disorder, disinhibited social engagement disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), acute stress disorder, and adjustment disorders. The new DSM-5 has many changes to post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma and stress-related disorders, as well as reactive attachment disorders. This course has a two-fold goal: to dis the re-organization of the DSM manual and to explore the changes in diagnosis and treatment of the trauma and stressor-related disorders.
