Supervision
This presentation proposes a virtue-based vision of what wellness entails for counselors that engage and incorporate the disciplines of philosophy and positive psychology into the supervision process of students and provisionally licensed counselors to lay foundations for flourishing in clinical practice. This presentation explores the relevant CACREP standards and ACA codes that address counselor wellness and the professional call to maintain one’s own personal wellbeing as a clinician. We conclude with an exploration and application of how the historic virtues of hope and love can improve wellness.
