Children have access to the world through online devices, which means the world has access to children predators gain access to these children and groom them to produce child sexual abuse material and or to run away from home. Professionals and parents need to understand how this works and how to protect children.
The learning objectives for this workshop:
1. Distinguish the difference in online enticement and online exploitation, its prevalence and who is at risk.
2. Distinguish the difference in online predators and their tactics and local predators who have in-person access to children.
3.Recognize grooming tactics and approaches online predators use to entice children and what predators’ overall goals are in enticing children.
4. How to recognize and report online sexual enticement and exploitation.
