Ordinary People: From Formal Diagnosis to Systemic Assessment
Robert Redford's academy award winning film "Ordinary People" chronicles the emotional journey of a depressed teen tormented by guilt following the accidental death of his brother . His family struggles with their own private sense of loss and helplessness while attempting to reconnect with their surviving son. Participants will put themselves in the shoes of the therapist, using the complex narrative provided by this classic film as a springboard to explore the connection between individual symptomology, clinical diagnosis and family homeostasis.
