Transition Counseling: Moving Students Forward

This free symposium provides professional development education for counselors and social workers in high school to foster healthy mental health and transition solutions for students in our community.  Speakers will train attendees to utilize proven counseling strategies, techniques and best practices.  Participants will learn to give students the tools to change lives and become confident citizens of the Baton Rouge community.  Targeting providers in the school settings who work with young adults, this mental health literacy program is designed to improve the quality of life for young people.    Participants will learn about opportunities in higher education for their students to move them forward to a bright future.

The session will award 4.5 CE clock hours for LPCs and PLPCs.  There are no NBCC credits through LCA.
