This workshop will provide participants both evaluation and intervention strategies for children suspected of having a specific learning disorder/specific learning disability. This training activity will utilize an evidenced based approach for both assessment and treatment in which a child’s response to scientifically supported interventions will be used for both eligibility and treatment recommendations. In using this Response to Intervention (RtI) approach, the assessment procedures will align well with DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and Louisiana regulations for special education eligibility
