Deb. Henson will present the pertinent rules and regulations governing ethical clinical practice, including confidentiality, dual relationships and ethical rendering of clinical services. She will explore how legal involvement can present challenges to the therapeutic relationships and how to avoid many of the pitfalls to protect the therapeutic relationship and guard client confidentiality. Ms Henson will teach participants specific steps for responding to subpoenas that compel the release of clients' clinical records. Finally she will help participants learn how to prepare for litigation events such as depositions and trial testifying.
