The “Crisis Response” training will prepare mental health clinicians to respond to children, families, schools, and organizations that are impacted by a traumatic event. Participants will gain a better understanding of the impact of trauma and learn basic intervention strategies that can assist individuals in coping in the aftermath of a traumatic and which promote resilience. Participants will not only learn techniques to implement the intervention strategies of crisis response on the individual and group levels, but will also learn how to best plan and organize a crisis response that best promotes the psychological recovery of those who have been impacted.
3.0 CE clock hours for LPCs and PLPCs; no NBCC credits through LCA.
