As the landscape surrounding sexual and domestic violence continues to change, and research continues to emerge, there is an ever-increasing shift towards implementing effective prevention strategies that address the overlapping causes of multiple forms of violence. The Regional Trauma Institute program will help participants to think critically, strategically and creatively about ways to implement emerging practices and prevention strategies that will help to decrease risk factors and increase protective factors for families and communities experiencing trauma.
6.0 CE clock hours for counselors. No NBCC credits available through LCA. LPCs/PLPCs may NOT receive credit for 9:00 presentation "Resiliency..." and the 3:15 presentation "Stewards of the Children..."
The Haven’s Regional Trauma Training Institute will be held on August 23, 2018 at the BP Learning Center in Schriever, LA (1597 Highway 311, Schriever, LA 70395).
