Identity in Recovery from Addiction

Presentation is three hours with two fifteen minute breaks. The first segment begins with an interactive role play with clients demonstrating group dynamics that will be processed to identify defense mechanisms and false identities. 
The second segment is didactic with exploring Eric Erickson's Psychosocial development with Piaget Egocentricity. This is to explain human development with examples for those in family systems (Bowenism) and the patterns created interpersonally and culturally. This segment will address Co-dependency and interpersonal relationships. Attachment Theory is also addressed using Philip Flores, PhD addiction as an attachment disorder comparing and contrasting interpersonal relationships to addiction with coping mechanisms. 
Third Segment's content is addressing the barriers to spirituality using 12-step perspective and education.
